Helicobacter pylori infection is now accepted as a major\\r\\ncause of duodenal ulcer1. Duodenal ulcer is common\\r\\nin Bangladesh. The prevalence of duodenal ulcer was\\r\\nestimated to be 11.98%.2 Helicobacter pylori is widely\\r\\nprevalent in Bangladesh, with 60% of children being\\r\\ninfected by the age three months and 80% being\\r\\ninfected by the age of three years.3 In adults, about\\r\\n92% have been found to be seropositive for Helicobacter\\r\\npylori antibody.\\r\\n
